Seirian Kitchener is an artist and educator working on Kaurna Yerta in Adelaide, South Australia. She graduated from Adelaide Central School of Art in 2015 with a Bachelor of Visual Art (Honours).

Working primarily in oil painting, Kitchener’s practice is grounded in the traditions of classical realism while seeking to push beyond them through contemporary methods and concepts. She uses self-portraiture to explore internal experiences and the ways they reflect the world around her. Her paintings quietly observe themes from her own life that, in turn, reveal broader tensions at play.

Seirian Kitchener has been actively exhibiting within South Australia since graduating in 2015 and currently works out of Central Studios in Kent Town. Alongside her studio practice she teaches oil painting workshops for both teens and adults.
